I'm putting this page on here as a courtesy to people looking for unclaimed money org.
There are a lot of "unclaimed money org" sites out there, some with hyphens, some without; some with a word in front of "unclaimed money" such as "my" or "your" and all the different variations that you could come up with.Basically, anybody doing a search with "org" in it is hoping to find some non-profit national database of money being held for them.
Unfortunately, there is no national database. However, there are a couple of sites that come close and those are probably the ones you would be interested in. Unclaimed.org is one of them. Notice it does not have the word "money" in it. This site is sponsored by
NAUPA, the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators.
This is a not-for-profit organization affiliated with the states Treasury departments.
Another site is missingmoney.com. This is made up of most of the states unclaimed money departments, but does not include all of them.
These sites are good for an initial search. However, if you want to do a more specific search or want to make a claim, they send you back to the individual states unclaimed money websites.
If you want to skip all of that, you can go to our free search page.
There you'll find a map of the United States with links to each states unclaimed money departments.
Now, unclaimed money is not only held just by the states. There are many federal agencies that are holding money as well, including the
Internal Revenue Service.
All of these can be found on our Free Search page.
I know you're most likely looking for money for yourself, but did you know that there is a great business that not many people know about finding money for other people?Unclaimed money finders locate assets being held by the various government agencies and help return them to their rightful owners. In exchange for returning this money, finders get a commission made up of a percentage of the money. Legitimate finders only charge a fee after the money has been returned to the owner.
It's a very simple business that requires you to get a list of assets being held, use the internet to find the owner, and help with the claim forms.
If you think you would be interested in taking advantage of this, please go to the
opportunity
page to get more information on this easy and little known business.
