New York State Unclaimed Money Finder

New York Unclaimed Mone Finder There is good new and bad news regarding becoming a New York State unclaimed money finder.

The good news is that New York owes more unclaimed money than any other state, a whopping $10.5 billion!

More good news is that New York State will send the claimants check to you as their finder.

The bad news is New York doesn't tell you the dollar amounts on their list, so it's basically a crap shoot.

You can either find $50 or $50,000 for someone, but you don't know how much until you get the check.

As I mention throughout the site, even though we are located in New York, we don't actively search in New York unless someone requests it or we're doing random searches for friends and family.

However, there are some people and companies that look at the tremendous amount of accounts available to them (over six million!) and roll the dice. Here is one such company . If you go to their " clients " page you will see a list of people whose money they have found.

There are clients with moderate amounts under $100 and others with amounts over $10,000, and there are accounts worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in New York.

It's a numbers game in New York and it's just a matter of finding the right accounts. With so many people owed money, it's easy to find them.

    3. The finder must have an agreement permitting the finder to act on the client’s behalf. Please note that effective September 3, 2008 by regulation the client’s signature on the finder agreement must be acknowledged.

    4. A finder agreement must:
